Accessibility statement
Our aim
We want everyone in a lodge to be able to use Lodge Platform, whatever their eyesight, hearing, dexterity or confidence with computers. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
This statement covers the Lodge Platform pages at https://lodgeplatform.org. It doesn't cover lodge websites made with our website tools: each lodge is responsible for its own website.
What we've done
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels high, so they are easy to tap on an iPad or phone.
- Pages work when you zoom in up to 200%, and on screens from a phone to a desktop.
- Text is light on a dark navy background, in colours chosen for good contrast. Printed pages are black on white.
- Forms have labels and hints, and say plainly what went wrong.
- Pages use headings and plain English, so they work with screen readers.
- Seating plans can be printed as table lists, an alphabetical "find your seat" list and place cards, which are easier to read than the plan itself.
What isn't fully accessible yet
- The seating plan drawing. Placing people at tables is done by dragging, or tapping a guest and then a seat. We haven't yet tested it fully with screen readers or with a keyboard alone. The guest list and the printed lists are text and are easier to use with assistive technology.
- Images on lodge plans, such as crests and floor plans, have no text description.
- We haven't yet had an independent accessibility audit. We plan to have one, and we will update this statement when we do.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email web@lodgeofalliance.org. We aim to reply within 2 working days, and we will try to help straight away, for example by helping your lodge's team print what you need.
How we checked
We prepared this statement on 16 October 2026 by checking the service ourselves against WCAG 2.2. We will review it at least once a year, and whenever we make a big change.
